It takes just 2 highways and about a 30-40 minute drive from Denver to our main launchsite. When you need to be at the launchsite at sunrise, having a close and easy to get to launchsite is very important.We are centrally located between Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park, in northeast Boulder County.

We fly once daily, just after sunrise, because that is when the winds are typically the lightest and is the safest time of the day to fly. Arrival times vary with sunrise and will be given to you when you make your reservation

You won’t be disappointed!

During our trip to Denver, CO, my wife and I scheduled a hot air balloon ride with Rocky Mountain Balloon Rides. It was very awesome experience for both of us, since this was our first balloon ride and we were both very excited about the adventure. Jeff was very professional and informative with the whole process from setting up to landing the balloon. Jeff kept us in the loop concerning the weather, to provide us the best ride possible! Afterward Jeff provided us the history on ballooning, we enjoyed a toast and enjoyed fresh fruits and talking about the whole experience. A+ – the whole deal!

Jeff was timely and punctual in all our communications leading up to the flight. My wife and i had several questions for Jeff and he talked us through everything he was thinking, everything he was doing and seeing, from the instruments in the balloon, to the natural signals he was watching on the ground. The way he landed the balloon led me to believe he is supremely skilled at his craft. We landed on a dirt road (between the tire treads – are you kidding??!!!) as requested. Great guy – felt like we were in the hands of a master. A+ – the whole deal.
